Regency Parkway route with Justin, Theresa, and Dave. Watched some great swimming this morning and will be back since Gracie swam a heckuva race and made it back to the consolation finals at Metro tomorrow. After seeing Saturdays forecast I decided to do my long run today. 6 miles with Jed, the wind was something again! Had to cover my face most the time except going south, glad I got it done.

Its a neighborly loop. Carl across the way is 86. Asked for help fetching wood from his barn. Out back about an eighth of a mile, deep snow. Firebox big enough to put my wood burning stove in, means big logs. Zaniness with chains and shovels and useless 4WD and compressors and lots of heavy lifting and down to the basement next to the old Norge please. So worth it to see his smoke now wafting.

Since I can't keep up with Fridays in training season, I was solo on 84th. Nice to go a bit later. See the sunrise, feel the energy of traffic. Pleasant run, minus the biting north wind and dark, ominous clouds. But, it's Friday. All is well. Now to the gym for some body work.
