snuck out at 10 for just a couple miles. Windy, rainy. And had to climb over an enormous tree that succumbed to the storm last night. I almost got stuck. ha ha! ah, what a week. :/

Met up w/ Mama Halpenny for nice recovery jaunt around the Z; saw "hOg & them" twice, and Mollak once (he may have been w/ "& them" the first pass, but it was dark).

Also saw three deer (one about 5 feet from us, just watching us run by, totally unfazed), a duck, and about 403 rabbits. Also, one dead skunk.

Chris Cornell has died. That saddens me, like unbelievably so.
He had a voice on him, w/ an amazing range. I have the Temple of the Dog album on my iPod; I put that on this morning. The first song is called Say Hello 2 Heaven. He was way more famous for being the lead singer of Soundgarden, and later Audioslave; also released quite a bit of solo stuff. Dead @ 52; a damn shame.

Spin with Exum and Michelle. Michelle said hills and sprints today, and she wasn't lying. I about died! My back is a bit better but I'm Totally zapped. I've been struggling with stopping training, crappy race, and broke down body. I feel at loose ends. Don't know how to eat, or sleep. Ugh. I'm sure the tide will turn. Hope sooner than later.

Ended up driving to lake Z. 11 people today. Chatted a bit with Miguel, but mostly just ran. Broke off from the group when they headed back to the lot. Tried out my new shoes and ran a couple fast miles. Might modify the tongues on my shoes. They chafed my ankles a bit.
