So inspired by the stories shared at today's Trail Run I just couldn't help it. Left my socks on, tactile response transformative if only for an hour. First run of any magnitude in what seems years. Thanks Gary for the artistic contribution. Rizzo destroyed the half in 1:34, he's in 1:04-1:05 road half shape. Mikaela Yaeger for the women. Wasserman won 50+ and reconnected with old friends. Wandzi won the 12K, 11th year to run. Amanda Lee of Boulder women's 12K title. Craig Halverson, Barb Swenson the 4 mile titles

I'm always pretty tense for the Long ones. And today was no exception. Just me and Mr. Volk. We run really well together. Just steady, and just talk. I was feeling just ok until about Mile 10 where we looped back to our cars. Saw a text from Matt saying to please drink some water and to please take some fuel. So, I did. Took some Clif Block things. I cannot tell you what a difference it made. Huge negative split for this run. Today, it really worked for me. Huge thanks to Tom. He kept me going. He and I just run well together. And huge thanks to Matt---for the text. He of course is taking credit for the success of this run. :)

Big confidence day for me. Let's do it.
