Only had 3 show up for practice so we went over to a hill near school. 10 min. easy wu. 2 x 8 min. sets of hill that took about 90 seconds to crest. 4 min. easy cd. 30 minutes of running. I ran because I wanted to push them a little. I'll pay for his tomorrow.

8 miles of downhills were on the books. Path was covered. So I hit the mill at red center. Nice place!! The treadmill had a decline so I put it to work. You think downhills are easy, but then you go to flat and you feel like you're running through quicksand. Quads!! Still slightly feel like I'm breathing through a straw, but such is life.

Then to the slopes. Skied again today for about four hours. I love it so much. Had only been once before, a few years ago when I was 12. Just like riding a bike! I loved it!!! The girls were so good too. Seriously Molly was like a rocket down the hill, and Grace was a little daredevil with great form. :). So proud of the girlies.

Great time here in CO. I would move here in a hot minute. :)

Needed some recovery after yesterday's workout, so hit the grass off the West Papio and went easy. Going to be the cycle for the next seven weeks - hard workouts with easy recovery runs in between.

Time to get back into the swing of things. Body is definitely feeling the 2 days of skiing. Both girls did good. Only accident was 6 yr old falling out of bed, hitting the nightstand, and needing 3 stitches in her eywbrow. I got some free shoes from Reebok. I think they go on sale April 1. They aren't too bad. Good cushion and an interesting knit upper with a flexible, molded heel. There is a more rigid exoskeleton for the laces. Decently light with a good transition. Only drawback for me is they don't make a 12.5 so they sent a 13 which are a little long.

At least the company was good! Theresa and I commented that this might have been one of the worst weather runs we've had this year - super windy, sleety snow that hurt your face, cold with some slick spots. But, we made it.

I suppose 3-4 inches over night. First part of run through the forest on unplowed path, middle part on the plowed roads, ended through two parks on unplowed paths. not a bad run actually. moon haze with falling snow.

More snow so back to the mill. But one of the high school kids messaged me last night to see if I'd be in the weight room early this morning because they wanted to go and needed an adult there. Making me feel needed ;) but seriously, these kids amaze me.
