Ended up being late for the race. Motel is just across the street from the beach where the race was starting. But I didn't check the starting time for the race. Figured that I was probably somewhere between 4th and 7th from the clock when I started and finished. Race director said he was going to figure my time into the results but didn't. Won't be late again in the near future.

I cannot recall a more miserable day at Rhylander but many that rival today. Hot, humid, no breeze at all.
Didn't feel that hard at the start (6:06) but tailed off considerably (6:39/6:49). Just tried to keep some consistent form. Always working hard so I've got that going for me...which is nice.

8 runners and one biker met this morning to say Adios, Bryan! He's heading to WS to pace Kyle for a bit of his hundy. Crazy!! So exciting. I kept to the bike because my feet are soooooo bad. Molly says she is 'legit scarred' after seeing them.

Hung with Bryan, Ben, Jason and Greg. These guys. Yikes, what would I do without them. Brightened my spirits X50. They really couldn't care less my marathon time. So extremely thankful they are my training buds, so forever grateful they are my friends.

Next up, The Pastor says he's taking me up a mountain. 14,000 feet. Yes.
