Blue Moon [20190227]: California by way of Tierra del Fuego

Thanks to one the fancy mills @ Blue Moon, I ran in Tierra del Fuego (the southernmost city in the world, according to the Pop Up Video style info bubbles) and then in northern California.

I'd like to literally run in both.
  • BetzE BetzE that's fancy!

Shout out to Alan Alda for no other reason than he is a brilliant actor, in my opinion. Both comedic and dramatic. My dad and I marvelled at his wit, timing and delivery in M*A*S*H. I recently watched " The Aviator" again and was floored by his performance. Seems like an utterly delightful person in interviews as well.

Song of the day: "Sky Pilot" by the Animals.
  • carljsamuelson carljsamuelson About six jobs ago, I worked w/ a dude who had a look that so reminded me of Alan Alda; and now I'm giggling about it all over again.

    Thanks for the laughs!

  • BetzE BetzE There is a really good interview with him in NPR's Hidden Brain. You would enjoy it. And, best of luck at Eisenhower - I agree with Carl that I'm sure you'll start Boston 19 with a BQ for 20!

With Theresa.
The one benefit to running when it's so cold is that I can't hear my watch beep at the mile mark because I have a balaclava and hat on, and I can't feel the vibration of my watch because it is over 2 shirts and under a jacket, so sometimes, I'm pleasantly surprised that we've run farther than we thought :).
But, I will be one happy runner when we can run on dry pavement again someday!
