Jumped in with the kids to do 8x400 starting every 2:30. Ran most of them in the 85-88 second range, much easier than I expected since it had been so long since doing anything like that. Another little bit of encouragement.

That puts a wrap on the long runs. Couple more workouts and we'll wrap up this "not in it to win it" cycle. Pretty cool there is a bald eagle nest in Chalco now. Just me watching them at the start. Cars lined the street and blankets on the trail when I got back.

Hello, arrived safe and sound yesterday here in Boston! A nice and easy run this morning took in the Boston Common, Beacon hill, Charles River and the Back Bay. Big day ahead--off to cheer at the BAA 5K, expo shopping, visit cousins, and watch the world premiere of "Boston: the Documentary" (bostonmarathonfilm.com). The movie will be in Omaha one night only--Wednesday at Oak View.

Song of the day: "Please Come to Boston" by Dave Loggins.
