Goals for 2017
- 75% age graded times at multiple distances from mile to half marathon. That was also my goal for 2015. I was on track through July 4 and then everything slowly slipped away. Strong finish to 2016 makes me think I can achieve this in 2017.
- All XC NE GP races and nationals.
- Team goal 50+ scoring team in all XC NE GP races and nationals.
- Continue 2 or 3 weekly strength circuits, increasing average weight to 100 from current 76. I think this has had a big positive impact on my running.

Joined the Newton hills crew. Strong wind, tailwind inbound and headwind outbound.
- 1 easy at home.
- 5 to just past BC and back @ 9:30 pace, inbound with Ed, outbound with CanMan.
- 1.25 solo to Whole Foods and back @ 8:56 pace.
- 8.75 solo to Cleveland Circle and back plus add on around Newton town hall @ 8:24 pace. Outbound included 4 x 2 min, 1 min hard with 1 min jog rest. Inbound pushed the pace, last 4 miles all just over 8:00.

Much more energy in legs than I expected after yesterday's miles.

Pretty decent morning if you remember it is January 1! About a dozen runners/walkers this year. I had planned to run 3-4 miles. Hoping for 4, but my right hamstring was a little tight after picking up branches yesterday from the "Christmas Hurricane"! Decided discrection was better than valor and just did 3. Glad to have everyone out for a great way to start 2017!

Time on feet at MAF. Really beautiful and peaceful run this morning. Really cool that the trails have lights - really handy for the first hour of the run.

Out in Kearney for my nephew's wedding last night. Really kept under control last night, but was up way past my bedtime. Round two starts today as we are celebrating Wasserman Christmas today.
