Extended the loop an extra mile on the Poudre trail. Didn't see any other people on the bike path until the 8th mile. Wow, that moon was bright. It was almost blinding at times.

I couldn't wait to get up and run with the moon! Four owls had the same idea except one of them was perched at the top of a pine tree when I ran by. What an awesome visual!!

Yesterday on the run I came across a squirrel scampering about with a large Dairy Queen Blizzard cup in its mouth. Then he went up a tree and every few seconds he would stop, hug the cup and stick his face inside. Then he would ascend a little higher, repeat. Must have been an acorn Blizzard. :))

Easy. Sore after wearing spikes yesterday.

Disappointing race yesterday. I usually pride myself for being a good/smart racer. Not the case yesterday. I went out too fast, got dropped on the downhills, and then suffered alone for the remainder of the race. Slowest 5k time in 6 years by my count. Mile splits were 505, 530,533. The course was tough, but it shouldn't have slowed me down that much. Still glad I ran it. It was a fun event. It was a shame there weren't a few more people. By my count I was 5th of 9 or 10 men, and I don't know that there were more than 3-4 women total.

Me, Carolyn, Ben, Greg, and Matt on this bright morning. Felt pretty ok. Feel like I need a bit of a reset, or refocus. The message in church yesterday helped; and embarrassingly enough, the Trolls movie last night struck a nerve. Anyway, the run was swell. Ben needed to get back early, so I tooled around in the parking lot to make it an even 5. I've got issues.
