Looking back I was probably pretty dehydrated at the start. I was really feeling it at mile 4 with some stomach issues. Legs never felt great. Still feeling the bike ride home at the start and then the heat and lack of water. Unlike you Nebraska folks, I can't complain about humidity though. I think it is 14%. Saw 1 deer just a few feet off the trail and lots of prairie dogs.

Had a fairly easy day at work so I ended up driving myself to elkhorn. I used to mow in a neighborhood out there that had big hills so I ran my way from downtown elkhorn to greenbrier. I did loops in the hills there. Hit 1000 ft of gain in 6 miles. Probably the most gain I've had on city roads. Hill prep for the Bear has begun

Got home from my run and instead of taking Molly to XC, I said, how about a little spin with the old lady (me). She grinned from ear to ear. We took it slow. It was still painful! I came to realize today that I'm not sure Molly likes running that much. She does it for me. I do not force her, or influence her, I promise. She just wants to please me. Ugh. Love that girl more than the world.

I was so sopping wet. Pretty sure I sweat more than your average female. I need to remember I love summer.
