Warmup and cooldown for Runway Run at Lied Center. Been dragging for a week or so. Seem to have lots of little nagging things going on, not sleeping well, track meets, etc. Can't wait to get past all of that and do some training.

Really not too excited about doing this one. Wore some training shoes as I was a little afraid of hurting my feet again. Tried to hang onto the leaders for a couple miles which was a mistake (6:06/6:21) because that was way too fast. They pulled away and I was in no man's land for the remainder. 6:32/6:30/6:44/6:51/6:41. The 3 miles on the runway were deceptively difficult...one long straightaway with a decent grade coming back. AG: 39:26 (5:38 pace) seems about right. Not my best effort but a hard effort nonetheless.

Was supposed to be an easy run. Started out solo and ran into Kevin and some of the Runners Roost group as they were turning around. Kevin wanted to do a 2 mile tempo so I joined him for that (5:45, 5:38). Made the 2nd half of the run rough but it was good to get some work like that in.

Mother's Day Hike @ PRSP

The forecasted rain moved to later in the day, so were able to get out to PRSP to hike for Mother's Day.

We kept to the more technical side; kids lasted about a miles and a half before wanting to turn around.

You go to war with the hike you get, not the hike you wanted. ;)
